Euribor rates to fall in 2024
2023 was a year in which we saw Euribor rates reach their highest levels since 2008, but in recent weeks they have been falling slightly and the markets expect this trend to continue in 2024.
XTB analyst Henrique Tomé told the Lusa news agency that Euribor rates should continue to fall in 2024, following "a change in the trajectory of interest rates".
Influencing the fall in Euribor, he explained, are the decisions of the European Central Bank (ECB) but also inflation, the economic climate, and the fall in interest rates on sovereign debt. However, he warns that "these outlooks could change rapidly if there are changes in the trajectory of inflation or other economic indicators that could lead the central bank to reflect on its monetary policy strategy".
The fall in the Euribor rate is one of the key points that our clients give most importance to when deciding the right time to invest/buy a house, so news like this is very positive not only for the real estate market and the entities that operate in it, but also for anyone thinking of investing/buying a property.
